Hi, Newbie here.
I just bought a one owner '72 Glastron Carlson CV16 w/ the original 120 HP Chrysler. I got real lucky here, this boat and motor have been pampered, pampered, pampered! Has never sat in the water overnight and both are in unbelievable 100% original condition! My question on the motor is........The only repairs done were the coil and water pump and plugs have been replaced. Is there anything I should do as precautionary or preventative? Thanks for any input!!

Ahoy, Gappy.

Welcome to iboats. :)

If the water pump replacement was recent the next thing to do is take her to the lake and run her.

Good luck. :)

Re: New guy with Old motor

Can you answer this for me JB?

I just got a 89' Bayliner Capri with original 125 Force its sat for 1 year out of the water, but has been started once a month with muffs on to ensure the motor does not lock up. What should i do before taking it on the water to sort of steer celar of any problems? Thanks.

First, Numba ONE, please don't hijack someone else's thread. Post your question in a new thread.

If the water pump is pumping well I would hit the water.
