Please guide me to make new thread. I want to follow the rules.
I have a 1988 Bayliner 1700 Capri,OMC 2.3 4 cyl 2 jet GM rochester carb thats giving me trouble. Runs good when in water the first 1/2 hr. Then it starts bogging down when I give it gas. It has fresh gas and new filter.I have odor of gas when it starts boging down. Any help would be appericated.

Check your timing & anti-siphon valve. Make sure the timing advance weights in your distributor move freely. Give it a tune-up with plugs, wires, cap, rotor & new points or switch to a Pertronix electronic ignition replacement.

Has a fresh tuneup. Runs excelent for 1/2 hour starts up great. After 1/2 hour of running it starts bogging bown when given the throtle. Then I smell gas and boat wont run smooth . Idles fine,starts easy, runs rough after 1/2 hour.
