Hello guys. Im a new member getting ready to buy a new boat. I have been reading alot of threads on different websites for a few months now. Bassically i just wanted to ask what would be a good starter boat for under 5k. Maybe someone has some brands they can throw out to broaden my search. Im looking for a 20ish foot boat with an outboard motor. Going to be using for fishing and some tubing and wakeboarding. Needs to be an open bow. I just wanted to say that i am an ASE certified tech so im not too worried about the engine condition. Dont really want to mess with it but if i have to then i will so please dont jump on me and tell me to keep saving. I dont want a huge boat and it doesnt have to be perfect. I was looking at bayliner capris but everyone seems to hate them for some reason. Allmost bought a 17ft 92 with a honda motor but someone stole it from under me. I know the force engines are crap but i can deal with it as long as the hull is in good shape. So any other similar boats i could be interested in? Thank you in advance.

19-21' center console with a 115-150 HP outboard, alternatively a dual console. The good thing about those hulls is that they hold up and don't show their age like softer boats do.
For under $5k probably 19'. Be sure to budget another $1000 to get on the water, and price your storage, insurance, etc.
