New motor, belt alignment and power steering pump mounting issues

Hello all, last fall we purchased a 1997 Crownline 202BR with the 5.7/Alpha 1 in it. The person who had it before always had a dealer winterize it and 2 years ago they didn't get all the water out and cracked the block, so they installed a new motor. It runs great so no problems there but I noticed it had belt squeal that got worse the more gas I gave it. It has the star bolt style tensioner and I think it had been tightened to much because the bracket had a slight bent in it so we replaced that. When I reinstalled the belt I set it with about 1/4in of deflection. Now the squeal is still there and have noticed the belt rides on the outside edge of the water circulation pump. On top of that when I put a straight edge on the power steering pump it is pulled in about 1/4in and the alt is in about 1/8. I'm thinking they may not be mounted properly because the ps is sitting crooked in the mounting bracket. Looking for some help on this and would really appreciate it if somone could take a few pics of how thieir ps is mounted mainly of how the rear mounting bolts and spacers are done. Thank you.

There is a spacer washer that should be placed against the pump then placed on the bracket and then the nut.

Got a pic of the pump?

That's what I was needing to know. There is a nut on the top stud it's just not visible in the pic, but I had a feeling it needed a space and nut on the lower one. I guess it got left off during the engine reinstalation. I will get those installed and see what that does. Thank you.

Yes, you can do that, you could even just stack some washers.

Thank you all for your help, put the right spacer on it and that took the crook out of the ps pump but it was still too far out so I pressed the ps pump pully on 1/4" more and that fixed that problem. The I took the water circ pully off and put washers behind it to space it out about 1/8" so the belt isn't riding on the edge of that pully. Looks good and sound good. It has a small squeak here and there but I think that's from all the belt dressing the previous owner used. Will be cleaning the pulleys today and installing a gator back.

Thanks again
