Hello everyone,
We have put A new 75 hp on our 1999 southland 21 foot pontoon. WHen we r driving it ,the water behind comes up between the pontoon at the top and wets the motor. Is this coorect. If not what do you think the problem is. It had a 40 hp .ABout 100 pounds different now..It is rated for a 93 and I have talked to the builders of this boat.
Thanks for any help

Thats fairly common especially w/ twin tube barges. A lot of turbulance between the logs. As long as the motor is reaching the proper rpms at wot, you should be fine. I doubt the addition of 100#s in the rear would cause you to be riding much lower than you were before. Good luck !!!
