Hi guys, I acquired a new motor yesterday for my collection. It's a 1996 evinrude 48 special in super shape. I hooked up the controls on the motor stand and connected the battery. she fired right up and runs very smooth. I have ordered the manual for it's up keep. I have noticed a problem with the shifter alarm. It give it's initial squeak as the motors fires, but as it running,( the controller) give off a very low, almost inaudible squeal. The motor is pretty simple simon, as far as sensors go. It only has the over heat sensor. The motor doesn't over heat and if you un plug the sensor lead the controller still make the noise. Any suggestion as to what it could be? Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks......Robert
