97 javelin 389se, 96 fastrike 150. Without a jackplate I was running 62mph gps at around 5400rpm. I just mounted a 6inch vance jackplate on it yesterday, at first I had it way too low and was only seeing about 60mph and 5300rpm. After jacking it up a couple inches threw out the day I was running 63-64mph and 5600-5700rpm. I would like to keep it around that in the rpm range.

My concern lies with the prop, (13 1/2 x25) renegade. The blades have some pretty substantial dings on them and its probably a 6 or 7 out of 10. Im not sure what my % slipage is. Also, at wot I am getting a ton of water pressure. Over 25 pounds. However since I raised it up, my midrange water pressure is pretty low like 15 pounds or so. Is that normal.

Also since I raised the motor up, the chine walking is back violently...Do I keep raising the motor? I definately dont want to turn too many rpms!

Im considering getting my prop blueprinted by mark but Im afraid thats just going to give me too many rpms.

Could I spin a blueprinted 25 pitch tempest, txp or raker around 5600? Normally that doesnt seem possible on a 150, that makes me think the renegade isnt biting too good, although the amount of lift the boat is getting with that prop is just scary...

Not sure if it matters much but the new numbers were ran with water temps in the mid 80s and 95 air temps. The original numbers before the plate were ran in 65 degree water and 50s air temp....

any help or opinions? The chine walking is pretty bad so id like to get that resolved. Could it be the flared barrel on the renegade that is contributing to that? I noticed the lightning has the same flared barrel on it...
