I have just become the new owner of a 1984 Bayliner Capri - 19' long.

The boat was stored in a storage unit for over 10 years and the hour meter only shows 140 hours. It's in very good condition with just a couple of UV damaged areas in the bow back cushions. The outboard started crisply after a new battery, replacing the stale fuel and cleaning out the fogging oil that had been used.

It even has a vintage humming bird depth finder - the one with the big circular spinning light - that's gotta go LOL, oh yes, and a Cassette Radio haha.

No user manuals although I managed to get some basic pdfs on the web.

Some questions...

1. The motor has Chrysler written on the front of the carb covers but has a US Marine serial number plaque - so is this a Chrysler or a Force 125?

2. Any idea of the fuel tank capacity on outboard equipped Capris?

3. It didn't come with the removable center windscreen - were these common across all years of Capri?

4. It has the nice padded seats with ruffled middle sections that are in great condition but dirty - is there a cheap household cleaner (TCP) that can be used on this vinyl - I'm too tight to send $16 on two bottles of Meguires :)

5. Who sells a decent bow cover and boat cover that clips to the windshield? I've seen some that just don't fit well so any suggestions from people who have one that fits well?

Thanks - I'm off to start tinkering with my new toy :)
