new problem 2002 150 johnson

after replacing every sensor in motor that was bad ; rebuit carbs ; new key switch ; new thermostats ; new water pump ; new spark plugs ; motor runs great so far on flusher test ; but now will not idle down. does anyone know what sensor that would be? i was told that if motor does not come to temp it will not idle down. is now idling at 1700 rpm.i am now up to 1700.00 in repairs ! by the time i do get to go fishing - i could have went to winn dixie and bought it !!!
any info is greatly appreciated.

donny, i hope you have the model specific, Johnson service manual. i would try doing the link and sinc, procedure. this coordinates the spark timing, and the carbs, so that you can get you engine running properly. is you timing set correctly? this works -- http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=228183
