New product for refrigerant leaks

Yeah we have been using a similar product up in Canada for a few years in Auto app's it works real well,first you seal the system then add refrig, kit comes 1 can sealer,2 cans refrig,adaptor hose for 70.00 Canadian$ it's a good buy and works [50.00 cost just to check system] So no checking to do,saved us time also

SS, have you tried the stuff? I've seen the stuff on the shelves where I buy ref. parts.(or something similar to it) <br /><br />Call me old fashion but I put the stuff in the same catagory as that trans. stop leak. <br /><br />Who knows, try it and let us know.<br /><br />I ran into a sales person who was selling a oil additive for HVAC systems that claimed that it would increase efficincy by 50%. Claimed the stuff would increase ice production by 50% aswell. Never did try that stuff.

I put some into a unit yesterday. Just one can and hose. Pretty simple to use. With the leak that it had, it will take about 3 months to find out if it worked or not. I don't know what the price is since everything that I buy is billed to the company.<br /><br />I'll keep you posted on it.

if you have ice in an A/C system ya got problems

I think he's talking about the cooling element in an ice maker, being 50 more efficient and therefore making 50% more ice.

Increase performance 50%.<br /><br />BS<br /><br />If it could happen, the manufactures would kill for it. For years & years bolt on crap from oil strippers, vortex circulators, mirical additives, power correction capacitive devices, wet condensor blankets etc etc have come & gone.<br /><br />Just say no.
