I just got this boat, and I sure could use some help identifying it.

Welcome aboard.

Since NJ titles boats, what does it say?

It also has a small emblem on the opposite side of the interior from the steering wheel that says Iroquois.

Better make sure you can make it legal before putting any money into it .. Otherwise it’s gunna be a really big planter box in the yard .. Not sure how that works in NJ ...

I'm working on title for the trailer. I got the package free from friends of ours. They purchased the trailer new in 1984 and will give me bill of sale until they can get the title re-issued. The boat, however has no title, just the NJ Registration. I spoke with a few people from fish & game here and they said I could register it in PA with a bill of sale. They just run the NJ registration # to check for a stolen boat and issue my registration.

Also, do you guys think it'll be suitable for the Gulf of Mexico? We'd be launching from Keaton Beach in the Big Bend part of FL.

no way I would use a tri-hull in the gulf. a bit of chop and you will have one very uncomfortable ride.

not to mention a boat that old will most likely have hull structure issues.
