As Per recommendations I just got my Solas amita 4 blade 19"x14.25 prop in the mail today. I am looking to maybe get it on tomorrow. Is there anything special so far as installation, tips, tricks etc. I would need to do? It come with a brass splined "washer" as I'd call it an a finned ring that I guess holds the piece in place and keeps it from spinning off? Will I just pull of my old prop and slide this one back on? I had read somewhere that the trim tab abode may new adjustment do y'all feel this will be necessary or even to replace it? I was not aware of this when I ordered the prop so I didn't think to ask if I needed an offset anode or any further parts etc?

I will now insert my foot into my mouth, since my boat has power steering and no finned anode. :)

Did you order the Solas thrust washer with the prop?

Yeah I'll apply the grease for sure, no i did not order the washer. The man I spoke to said most use the existing one, I know not a good practice, but he didn't mention it needing it to work or being any different from the one in there?

Will there be a difference between the Solas washer and the current one? I am looking to install the prop today so any help would be appreciated greatly.

Just have a look at the two hubs. The washer "should" work. I don't know what your other prop was.

Yea I'm not sure of the manufacturer, but I will definitely be sure everything fits properly.
