Im thinking of getting new prop for my 195 wellcraft cc w/ johnson 112spl.
Its a 95 model with orig slightly worn composite prop. I have no complaints about the orig 4 blade prop. Only thing I can tell is it gets up on plane ok and 40 mph is top speed. unknown rpm. Motor has rebuilt power head now and lower end is getting new water pump and oil change. Should I get some more info like rpms. I plan on going to lake real soon for test run.

Re: new prop?

Sending you to the prop forum and yes you need more information.

FYI the composite props flex a great deal..... I have always had better performance from metal.

Re: new prop?

can not answer without a wot rpm if its over 5800 slow down your pitched to low if under 5000 your pitched to high. wot(wide open throttle)rpms is the most important thing in boat motor so without it cant help will also need numbers off of current prop
