seen the other post about dogs and thought I'd share here. the missus has always wanted one of these so this weekend she went and got our new little bundle of joy. english bulldog. she is very happy to have landed in a house with a huge yard and a boxer for a big sister. our little poodle couldn't care less about the new puppy but the boxer and her are already close friends. new4.jpgnew3.jpg

Cute pup.....My parents and SIL each have an English bulldog. Both are dumb as rocks. Those two, plus most of them I have seen usually smell pretty bad from the yeast infections they get in the folds of their skin. It's a tough battle.

Re: new puppy

the puppy's name is Casey. She is definitely going to be a bullheaded little thing. I thought my boxer was stubborn, but I think she will far surpass the boxer.
we have a fresh supply of baby wipes for cleaning the wrinkles. that was what was recomended to keep her clean. she certainly has a few distinct odors already although I think most of those are puppy oriented.
The one thing that totally amazed me was how well my boxer took to her. she whimpers until I let Casey out of her crate so they can play. tug of war, pushing her around, lets the puppy chew on her ears and jowels. Casey stole the boxer's food a couple times and she just let her have it, except for the evening soft food, that one she gave her a little growel then let her have it. she hasn't even nipped at her once. it's like the pup still has a mom around.
I can only imagine what it will be like when she doesn't have to be locked up in the crate anymore.
