New reinforced lower units from bombardier??

Any of you guys have heared of the reinforced lower units for the V6 outboards from Bombardier??. Down here some people have told me about it as well as the OMC dealers, what exactly they mean by reinforced??

Are you talking about the lightining gearcase or the standard case? The standard case has some beefier parts if I remember correctly what they were showing in Miami.

Dhadley, is the standard case, i guess it has to do with the gears

Yes I believe so. There was something about the bearings and the carrier too. Have you tried www.evinrude.com?

Bombardier recently came out with a service bulletin concerning the new service gearcases. I would suggest you go down to your friendly dealer and ask to see it.
