Ok, I know I have seen this information on here a time or two in the past, but I can't find it now. I have a 1973 Crestliner tri-hull with the back-to-back lounge seats. I want to replace them with 2 post mounted seats. I think I have found some posts and mounts that will work for what I have in mind. My question is, how do I need to mount the seat bases? Do I need some kind of a toggle bolt, or is there a particular anchor to use for boat seats? Also, does anyone have any idea what is under the deck of a 1973 Crestliner. I know there is a tunnel under the center for water to drain from the bow, but what is off to the sides? I'm sorry for the long windedness.

Might want to consider doing this, rather than trying to lag bolt into your deck causing a possibly entry way for water.

I made this wood pedestal and put T-nuts on the bottom..glassed the mount to the deck and it is solid as a rock..not going anywhere..and I didn't screw into the deck at all for it.

Fitting the seat in the boat...Its REALLY going to be nice having that! Moves forward and back and swivels around. And bolster is nice if you want to stand up and drive.

Here is the way it turned out with Gel-Coat over the deck.
