Replaced the stuck thermostat in my J70TLCEM and while running it on muffs it overheated. Can too much water pressure from the hose cause this?

Re: New thermostat-over heating

no problems after it was replaced? we replaced my father-in-laws water pump at the end of last season. Then this year we noticed an overheating issue when at idle, no issue above around 1300 or 1400 RPMs. We checked everything but the water pump at first and could not see an issue. We pulled the pump out and found we spun it in backwards... most say it doesn't matter what way you install them because they will spin themselves around, not true. After reinstalling it the right way there was no more overheating issue.

I don't see how too much water can cause an overheating issue. Hope you can figure this out :)

did you fit the new thermostat the correct way ? the wax element needs to be on the hot water side

Yep, it is in right, guess it is lower unit pulling time. Thanx all!!!
