Great forum here. I've been lurking for sometime and figured I would join. I have used the Search function in trying to get some info on a part for my 75 Evinrude 25hp (Mod# 25553B, Ser# E0002900). I did see the 73 Evinrude 25 hp starter button thread and may go that route. I am looking for the male plug that plugs into the front of the motor so that I can hook the motor up for remote steering and throttle. Currently I use the tiller and pull start. Figure it would make it a little easier Walleye fishing. Any help would be appreciated.

Good idea t-daddy. I was thinking of going with the push button on the motor like in the other post, but I think I like the idea of having the key up front. I'm sure I can find a grommit or boot to fit the hole already there. Thnaks for the quick reply also...

you can just use a push button on the dash, and a on/off toggle switch for a kill switch. when it is in the off position, the motor will not start, till the toggle is move to the on position.

Re: New to Forum

one of the parts motors I have, has the engine harness removed and has a homemade harness directly attached to the ignition/kill, elect choke, start and has the battery cables directly attached as well.

I have been seeking as well and have come across a couple. Down side is because of age, UV, and weather they were not in the best of shape.

So I went with the direct attached route. I made my boot from an old inner tube and a little bit of RTV.
