I recently installed a df 70 on my suzuki and went out on the water today. problem one - the engine temp light keeps popping on(new impeler and water pump)problem 2 the check engine flashes 32. problem 3 on idle the engine started to idle rough then all in a sudden started to purr like a kitten.problem 4 the engine is hard starting sometimes-it will start then shut off.problem 5 the engine was overcharging and now doesn't seem like it is charging any more. Other than that it runs like a champ. Should have kept my 78 johnson on there! any suggestions? Also is the engine suppost to pee out of any where? I feel warm water coming out of the vent above the prop.

first thing i would do is make shure the battery is fully charged and all connections are clean and tight.

lot of codes spesialy 32 map sensor 2 and the over charging code 1......1......1 are battery(cable) related false alarms.

the overtemp light you should verify with a temp gun to actualy know if the engine is overheating.

with all these codes going on i would suspect your battery system could be the culprit.
the ecm are very sensitive to voltage drop.
they will trow a code very easily when they dont get the right voltage.
thats probbebly why its sometimes hard to start.

on the battery terminals use lockwashers and nuts forget the wingnuts.

The first time this happened is when the engine was first started and the engine was idling, the overheat light popped on. I checked the engine temp with a infared temp scanner and it read 180 degrees. Is the engine supposed to pee out water? where?

today I tried to clear the weep hole. I stuck a piece of wire in there and wiggled it around. A bunch of look to be sand came out. Now I can feel exhaust pulses coming out of the hole, But no water.

I think those pulses maybe connected to the exhaust. I do notice steam coming from the weep hole very slightly. I am going to pull the thermostat and see if it was installed correctly.

Is there another valve that allows water flow through engine apart from the thermostat? I read this engine has a dual cooling system.

it has a poppet valve but i very doubt its the problem.

i would blow some compressed air trough it its just clogged somewere most of the time.
