New to me boat

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum. I am going to look at my first boat to purchase tomorrow. It is an 84 Marlin 15.5' with a 3.0 140 hp engine and an OMC stern drive. Question is what things should I be looking for? If I am in the wrong forum let me know and thanks for any help.

A different boat. - one with a Mercruiser Alpha drive behind a Mercruiser Chevrolet based V6 or V8 engine.

To expand a bit on Howard's comment, OMC has been out of business for many years. parts are getting difficult to obtain, and they are getting really pricy for OMC parts.

if you have not bought yet, I would pass on the OMC drive and look for Mercruiser or Volvo Penta with the V6 or V8.

I've owned an OMC of that era and I would pass as well unless you are really wanting to work on it and have good mechanical skills
