needed a trailer, priced used broken down rusted worn tires 2000.00 went ahead got brand new 3000.00 . i have always kept my boat on the water on davits and was able to borrow a neighbors trailer. neighbor took her boat out and is using her trailer i figure what the heck i'll get my own . last time i bought a trailer back in the 80's 500.00 . i suggest if you know some one that is buying a boat and says they dont need a trailer , advice them its going to cost you in the long run. i understand storage could be an expense and renting could get pricey but i had to break down because i live in hurricane alley and cant wait till last minute to get one ,if available...

I agree, better to get the trailer when you buy the boat than to have that expense later.

I'm on my third trailer for my 1989, purchased new. My new one is a nice aluminum/galvanized Venture. I hope it will last a while.

i've never had to replace a trailer, upkeep is necessary. a good wash down after each dunk, especially in salt water.
