I have a 25'7" Seafox open fisherman. I bought a trailer for it and need to adjust it to fit my boat, i have no idea how to do this other than find the center of gravity for the boat, which i also have no idea how to do. Can someone give me some assistance, please?

Re: New Trailer

Howdy BC.

Welcome to iboats. :)

Forget CG of the boat. You are interested in weight distribution of the whole package.

Position boat so that the transom is supported; no overhang at stern.

Position the winch stand so that the bow eye is below the bow stop, and arrange a safety chain from the bow eye to the trailer frame. Put a turnbuckle in the chain so that you can hold the bow down firmly.

Position the axle cradle so that about 10% of the total weight (boat and trailer, ready to tow) is on the hitch.

Good luck. :)
