new vrs used options, please

i have a basic question, i am not new to boats but not an expert either, but i am thinking about buying a new boat 18 ft runabout and was thinking about the large deprication factor a new 18 ft w/ traiiler chaperrall and other are 18k with options, i was thinking also maybe 1999-2003 used bowrider, to save from losing all that money...can anyone give me there input.<br />thanks bob

All of my boats have been used. Which saved me a bundle. But the search for a decent used boat at a decent price can be very long and very frustrating.
