Re: New vs. Reman. Engines???

Really didn't differenciate between the two. a re-manufactured engine is not a new engine regardless of how you came by it. :D
When I made the post I was thinking about re-manufacturing shops that have a good reputation and been doing it for awhile. That could be your next door shop or on the other side of the country.
Bubba, lots to be said about having a good local shop build one for you. You can develop a relationship, have person to person discussions, select a piston that better suits the marine build, etc.
Better yet, choose a shop who has actual marine cruiser experience, one who has owned and run their own cruiser size boats.

I see that the poll is shifting again. 56.25% in favor of reman. 43.75% in favor of new.
OK... who's paying these people off? :D
