Hi all, just bought a 1985 Thundercraft 16' with a 1998 Force 75HP. I'm wondering what type of foot oil I need and what type of oil to mix into the gas. The gentleman I bought it from told me it's a 3 cycle but online info I found on this outboard says it's a 2 cycle. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated

It's a 3 cylinder not a 3 cycle :)

90w gear oil. Use the best you can afford.
Mercury products are good.

The gas/oil mix? 50-1 TCW3 oil.
Any oil will work.

I'd do the following: The 98/75 wasn't the best design with the one carb feeding all 3 cyl.
So make sure you use an extra 2 oz. of oil when premixing the gas/oil.

Make sure the carb is set right and you should have good luck with your motor.

Do a compression test before you try to run it.
