In need of a little help. I have been looking through the post and I just think it is a great thing that ya"ll do here. I just got my first boat a couple months ago so I am real grren:D when it comes to all things boat. I have a 1977 or 1978 Robalo CC with a 89 Evinrude 140. Now the problem. The previous owner installed an automotvie fuel pump in lieu of the orginal VRO fuel pump. I would like to reinstall a fuel pump w/o the VRO pump due to the problems I hear with the pumps. I dont have a problem mixing my fuel. I have seen several post about changing out the the VRO pump for just a fuel pump. Have ya"ll had any sucess.

Thanks for any help I can git;)

Re: Newbie Boater

Converting over to a regular fuel pump has been done by many (not me) and we have had no complaints. It is not a tough conversion.
