I am ordering some accessories and need to get some fenders but the catalog offers two different lengths/dia. What size works the best for my 19' boat? There won't be much dock time since I trailer it. Thanks

I have a 19' and like the big taylors about 8" X 24 " as most times i hang them hortizonal because of how you have to tie up to Seawalls here VS a Dock

I find when i hang them Vertical they tend to roll out of the way

Paul:

4 X16 are common and around my area are on sale the most. They will work fine for most shapes of hulls in your size. A little larger or smaller won't make much difference.

You will find that fenders are just as useful when rafting with other boats or in a crowded anchorage or at some ramps. Keep them handy and the lines in good condition

I think I have something between those two. Around 6" diameter x 20" length. I'd have to go measure to be sure.

I have three of them, for our 20'er and have 6 Perko clips (3 per side) http://www.iboats.com/Fender_Locks/...d.238305--list_time.1203355039--view_id.39363 , so I can move them to whatever side needed for docking or along side another boat.

I do hang them verticly, but when I'm moored they are only back-up protection. The boat is held out away from the dock, and a rope or cleat would have to fail for it to make contact.

Thanks everyone. I will go with the 5.5"x20" long.
