We are looking at purchaseinga 2001 Crownline 202 BR with a 5.0 Merc and a Alpha 1 drive. The engine has approx 140hrs on it and it looks in great condition. They are asking 17900 OBO Can$. How is that for a price? My wife and I where more thinking of $14000-$15500 as it is an 11 yrs old boat. It has water marks on the floor to the left/right of engine bay... this is a big concern of mine. He stated that this spring he left part of the top unsnapped without knowing it. Take a look at the pics and let me know if I'm out to lunch at offering $14000 for her. Cheers!

Re: Newbie question!!! 2001 Crownline 202 BR

for the money he is asking you should get a Mint condition boat and that is far from it, I would certainly look at having the floor looked at professionally, my boat is 12 yeas old and is in much better condition then that one is and mine has twice the hours, if he wants to sell it he should have cleaned it instead he decides to try to sell it revealing how he probably has cared for it all along, no way not a chance, I would be interested in that boat at around $10,000 tops, and I am clearly a Crownline fan, the only boat brand I have ever owned.

After reading your post you state the motor has 140 hours on it, has the motor been rebuilt/replaced?
