first time changing my water impeller on my alpha one gen 2. Everything looks straightforward as far as how to do it. One question I had was if I should use permatex on the first two plates that set on the drive shaft?

Thank you Chris! Changed this weekend. I was a little nervous because the housing gasket seemed slightly off. I second guess myself on everything the first time. I did use a small amount of permatex on the narrower side of the housing due to the gasket not wanting to stay all of the way into the housing. Bolted everything back up and hooked it to a hose. I had water coming out my thru hull and the temp leveled off at around 155. Let it run for about 15-20 minutes. So I am going to assume job well done lol.

The housing gasket seemed slightly off because you probably it flipped upside down.
