Hi there. thanks for the great infer on this site!

I'm getting ready to service my outdrive myself for the first time. I've been wrenching for years, love working on stuff - never touched a boat though!

We have been noticing a grumbling and vibration which seems to be getting worse. with the outdrive trimmed down it is more noticeable them when raised slightly. right turns are more noticeable than left. The Gimbal bearing was replaced 100 hours or so ago.

problems started after we hit a submerged log (happened in the correct entry path between the buoys entering the channel). The prop was rebuilt and the drive has not felt the same since.

Plan to get all the parts I might need, if I don't need them I'll hold onto them for another day.

am I missing anything other than normal automotive tools? Any other gaskets or o-ring that should be replaced?
