I have a 1990 Evinrude 150 XP model # E150STLESB (90 degree V-6) that has a blown powerhead. A buddy of mine got me a sweet deal on a new 2002 150 h.p. 60 degree V-6 fully dressed. The only numbers I can find on the new motor is 0581 12C1B2. This number was stamped (not cast) on a machined section of the block. My biggest problem is the new powerhead will not bolt up to the existing exhaust hsg. adapter. <br />Do I need to find a newer motor w/ a blown powerhead? if so what years will work? Or can I change the adapter housing to a 60 degree version?? Part numbers would be great since my dealer hasn't a clue. Last question is how do I know if the 1990 motor is a 20" or 25"shaft......Thanks
