There must be something with them red s-10's. I had a '92 I bought brand new and it was the only truck I've ever had feelings for. I sold it in 2001 and now wish I still had her.

how do ray--whatever you do for a bed liner--DO NOT get ona them plastic tub inserts--it will rub and chaf away the finish (paint) in the bed. additionaly, the tub will trap water, mung and drool, dirt--stuff that will rot the bed to death. and furthermore, my insurance carrier will not cover the tub 'cause it is not permanantly attached to the truck.

having spewed all that--
my '99 F150 has a "LineX" brand sprayed inliner--was about $375 or so as I recall. my employer gets the corporate PU's done with this product. lifetime warranty--though i have no problems with it (the liner). i occasionaly haul gravel and shovel same out w/ out dammage to liner--is tough stuff--
and more furthermore-the LineX can be applied to beds that had the crummy plastic tubs and rubbed metal raw-(though and rotted or worn through beds gotta be fixed b4 LineX application)

me??-don't care for bed lids 'cause i just wanna throw that case 'o beer inna back and head to the castle to consume same- :D

Access Cover makes 2 variations of a tonneu cover that I think works great, they have the standard, which is the heavier canvas, and the lite-rider, which is a little cheaper. It clamps to the inside rails of your bed, so no drilling. It's a piece of cake to install. The cover attaches to the rail by 1 1/2" velcro that runs the entire length of the rail, and it just rolls up, for those times you need to use your pickup AS a pickup. It doesnt "balloon up" going down the highway at 80 mph, it's real durable, and it really dresses up the look of the truck. If you have a place near you that sells toppers, I'm sure they sell Access Cover too, and they most likely have one on one of their trucks there to see. Depending on the area, you can get them from 330.00 to 400.00.

As for bedliners - do whatever you're comfortable with. I bought my truck with a FACTORY-INSTALLED slip-in liner by Duraliner, and my insurance company covers everything on my truck, regardless of who put what on it.

Hey CastwayRay,
Check this out "BED-RUG"

I have this on my truck and it is fantastic. I mostly use my truck as a family truckster but have hauled 2,000 pounds of dirt and pea gravel with no problems at all. Just clean it at the quarter car wash. The Bed Rug is padded, too. It is very tough and can handle a ton of abuse. Have them send you a free sample, you can't go wrong with this product. It also is much cheaper than a spray in liner. This is it on my truck:

I also have a Pace Edwards "Jack Rabbit" roll back tonneau. This product is great.
Asking which brand of Bedliner is like asking "Ford or Chevy?".. You're going to get a ton of answers.

We looked at LineX and Rhino. LineX is hard, and coarse, and if you get in the bed with bare knees, they're going to have no skin left on them. Rhino has a almost "soft" consistency at initial appearance, but it's not. Stuff certainly doesn't slide on it, and for us it's taken a TON of abuse over 2 years and still looks great. It's more of a question of who's the better applicator in your area.. For us the Rhino dealer was.

-R

Don't worry about installation. You can do it yourself in about 30-40 mins. Very easy.
This is were I bought mine last year. I spents months researching and this was by far the cheapest place and free shipping.

Ultimate

Don't know about the liner, but I have a Truck-Tec tonneau on my F-150 for about 2 years. Still looks great and has help up perfectly. 5 year warranty when I bought mine and was only about $130. Great for the price. I bought it and some nice steps from carmicdirect.com.
