Re: Next obsession - bedliner and tonneu cover

I think any of the professional liners are good any more. Its all in the prep anyway. I had an old International Scout I rebuilt from the ground up, and I used Herculiner on the entire inside. It required a lot of prep, but it worked good for my application. It was a do-it-yourself type thing. I don't think it would be nearly as durable as a spray in liner though.

Its hard to keep from wanting to put more Bling-Bling in a new rig. I am finally getting around to putting in a proper stereo in my F150, with subs under the rear seat and all that. I don't listen to the Boof-Wicky-Wicky music, but I still like to have a good solid sound, and for that you need bass. How is the stereo in that new rig? We have a standard cab S-10 in our fleet and the stock radio actually sounds decent, it surprised me.

the radio ROCKS Jason, its a MDS(?) radio with CD, does a couple of cool things, gets quieter when you slow the truck down, and tells you the station you are listening to by its CALL LETTERS ...

AND THE NAME OF THE SONG YOU ARE LISTENING TO!!!!!

that blew my antiquated mind away, lol, I have a 160 watt system in the p!mpala and this one is just as loud, might need subs but I think Ill just update the speakers somewhere way down the road

Im really pissed about the stuff that was here before, why is it gone???? I did bookmark the TruckTech and bedrug sites, but still, there is no conflict of interest, if there is it never occured to me to check a boat site for truck parts!

Liz was funny, said oooh, I can listen to rap LOUD now!

from the BED witha BOOM BOX, sure ya can!!

lol

Ray, last month I sprayed in a polyurethane bedliner into my F250. It's a fullsize 8ft. bed.
I had slightly more then was neccesary so the coverage was good. I used 1 gallon and it had a quart hardner. The cost was $150.
Instructions called for prep using 120 grit, scuff 100% of the area. I used a undercoating gun to apply it.

Now here's the good part Ray. This was a new product made by SEM. It's completely tintable to match any color! Imagine, your not limited to black. Mine matched my electric blue metalic and the owner of the paint mart had it in yellow to match his Chevy. I brought my ashtray in and they mixed the paint while I waited.
Looks muey bueno.
