Vikings have a bye.....:D:D:D

No expectations, no disappointments today. I think I'll watch NASCAR flag to flag.

Let's hear how your team did.........

16-3 9rs/Redskins - 3rd quarter. Still plenty of time for them to lose it. (gotta talk negative to make them mad so they'll win)..LOL.

The Ravens had an awesome comeback, and they SWEPT the Steelers! The AFC North is super competitive with the Bengals surprising everyone. Ravens have the inside track so far for being division champs. Steelers are going to struggle to even get a wildcard if the Bengals keep playing well.

With less then two minutes left to play the Patriots have the lead 20-17 Giants ball, safety makes big mistake, called for pass interference on the 1 yd. line and scores to win. Brady has not played well in the last two weeks and can not really blame the offensive line when the QB is off his mark throwing the ball. will be really surprised to see them in the play offs.

could be an intication of women problems.

The Stillers definately let one get away. They can beat the Bengals, who have a rookie QB. Rookie QB's traditionally struggle against the Steelers. However, I am not conceding the division to the Ravens just yet. THEY still have to play the Bengals twice too. And I can see the Ravens getting too confident, when they shouldn't be.

Not ready to concede the division either, skargo. Great game last night between two good teams. Steeler's defense didn't do enough in the end to stop the Ravens. Officiating was for the most part good in that they let both teams play, but the few flags they threw were a little one-sided. The hit on Hines should have been a personal foul ... head to head ... they called it later on the Steelers ... a few things like that. Don't get me wrong, I am not blaming the officiating on the Steeler's loosing ... the Steeler's lost the game because they couldn't stop the Ravens in the last 2 minutes.

A nail-biter down to the wire and disappointed in the outcome. Now we have 3 teams with 6 wins in the division and half way through the season. Should shape up to be an interesting second half of the season for the toughest division in Pro Football.

Re: NFL - Week 9

Eli Manning, without his starting running back Bradshaw, without his #1 receiver Nicks, and without his starting center Baas, led his team on two TD drives in the last three minutes of the game to beat the Patriots in a wild finish. The tight end Ballard decided he was Lynn Swan-like last night and and made some outstanding grabs when it counted. Down 3pts with 1:30 left and driving for the win against a Pats team with 18 straight wins (at home) sure did feel familiar and resulted in a big underdog win for the Giants (again)!!!

A Manning at QB sure does make everyone around him much better (ask the Colts!). Eli was asked when the season began if he felt he was a top five QB and he said "Definitely". He was mocked by the media for his response. It ain't bragging if you bring it on the field.

When asked if the Giants were worried about a tough second half schedule, the response was "the schedule should be worried about us!".

6-2, two games up in the division, and looking forward to an intense second half of the season.

GO BLUE!

angus, indeed people seem to forget that Eli lead them to a Super Bowl win over the unbeatable Patriots. He is a good QB for sure.

On that note, i will say the official on the field did fine. The hit Ray Lewis gave Hines Ward shouldn't be a penalty, it was a good hard hit. Ryan Clark's shouldn't have been either. The field guys missed the push off on the winning TD, because they were watching the slight contact from the Steelers before it. Neither should have been call, and the end result was the winning touchdown.
I have to point out that on 3 of the 4 booth reviews, the replay official got it WRONG. Hines Ward had the control of the ball after he was hit, his butt touched (play is over at that point) and then after his back touched, all the way to the ground, when the fender's thigh knocked it out. Complete pass, as ruled on the field. The replay guy got it wrong. The challenege the Steelers lost, the ball was loose, hit the ground, and that pushed it back up into the Raven's player's arm, thus aiding him in the catch. Replay official got it wrong (so did the official on the field). I forget the 3rd one they got wrong on replay. I certainly hope the NFL Director of Officiating reviews the film and reprimands the replay official. The only one he got right was that Ben's knee was down before the ball crossed the line.
And yes, the Steelers lost because they could not stop the last two minutes, but the replays directly lead to 3 points for the Raven. it should have been tied at the end of regultaion, not a Ravens win.
Sadly the NFL will probably not admit their mistakes.

Da Bears finally looked like they want to be there. They really stuffed Philly in the end, Vick took a beating and NO CUTLER SACKS. Hopefully they can play like that for the second Green Bay game.

That would be nice indeed. I'd like to see someone beat the Packers!
