Don't let Dehadley find out you been using kgbs...errr...ngk's. He'll find out where you live and come steal your looper..... :)

Really.....get back with the Champions. That's the plug the engine uses. You can run a QL82YC, OL77JC4 or QL16V. Gapping at .040 will give you some better idle and not hurt top end but setting at .030 (recommended setting) is OK to. What kind of running do you do?

And never rely on a pre-gap. Always double check them.

I usually run 25 miles offshore then putt around looking for fish then come home..I read some much about champions being junk and NGK being the better overall plug

Re: ngk plug for my 200hp

Though you may dislike Champions in anything else you run, your rude was designed around the temp of the plugs they list. Even though the heat rating etc will cross over to ngk chart, they won't be an exact match.

I also believe ngk's are traditionaly hotter running......which could become an issue if you have carbon buildup. This could i turn lead to runaway surface ignition or pre-ignition. Once that happens the temps rise quickly and the pistons could melt and seize. Someone I am sure will correct me if I am wrong, who knows, maybe I am.
