checked the plugs. looked good but needed the correct gap, they weren't checked before installation it appears, they were 40 thou. plus. done. points looked bad. so new points set to 19. done. cap and wires were good. cleaned carb with carb cleaner. This was a hard starting engine. Fired on the first try..
WOO, HOO.. couldn't find the tach dwell meter.. someone borrowed it i'm sure. but coming soon.
I could hardly get it started before. now it starts instantly.. im a happy camper.
lots more still to do, but the hard day was good. More time spent hunting down parts than installing them.....
