It's only a good idea if you are 100% ready to repair any damage it causes.

From what I've seen the 3.0 likes to blow head gaskets without any help from the spray. Add the nitrous and you might need to carry head gaskets on board.

I don't think anyone of us are drag boat dudes. You need a forum which deals with it, or maybe high performance boats like "Off Shore Only". Most Off Shore folks are thise with big ideas and a few have big wallets, I'm a member but no wallet here. Try your question there and you may find someone that has done it.

Like many of the folks who go the extream with boats, it all depends on how much it will hurt if you mis-judged.
All the best

If you are competent in your mechanical skills go ahead and spray it. In all likelihood it will hold up just fine, but once you see that a 35 shot gets you a few mph, and it will only be a few, you will want a 50 shot.

Then you will need more prop to keep the engine from over-revving. You might run the 50 shot a few times and have no issue so you step it up to a 75 shot. That might work a couple times and then it throws a rod or blows a head gasket.

As long as you are willing to fix whatever may break, you are safe to try it.

I wouldn't do it unless you know exactly what you're doing. Nitrous Oxide is N2O which means it has an oxygen atom and nitrogen atoms to make the molecule. It is the oxygen that makes your fuel burn hotter and faster just like the oxygen on a cutting torch when you hit the handle and shoot more on the flame it gets way hotter. This can literally melt your motor. Pinging is probably what you'll hear right away. The huge load placed on the pistons and rods on an engine not built for this can destroy the innards very quickly. At the very least it can damage the rod bearings and drastically shorten the motor life. Engines have to be built for this from the ground up. It's not for novices.

Breaking stuff is a great way to find out what you are doing wrong and learn how to build it right. :)
