got new dsc radio, has a simple two wire hook up to gps receiver, nmea(+) and ground, I have the nmea output turned on, on the fishfinder/gps, but am getting no data on my radio. I have double checked the connections, no problem there, any ideas?

Did you go into setup on both units to make sure they're speaking the same "language"

Check to see what NMEA sentence the manufacturer of the radio specifies to be sent. If they give a list, try all the sentences in the list. I have seen some radios which respond only to a single certain NMEA sentence, even though the manufacturer says several others will work.

There does seem to be an alarming amount of confusion among some radio manufacturers about what NMEA signals are on what color wire. It would be prudent to contact the radio manufacturer to verify the color code and NMEA signal arrangement on your particular radio. However, with some manufacturers, even their own technical support may be unaware of a problem like variation in color code. Some of these radio brands are just reselling mass-made radios from China with very little real involvement, technical support, or interest.
