Nmma Cert Question???

hello all i am new to the board and in need of help...im 20 and love freshwater fishing....i recently purchased a bombard max 3+ from defender.com and today learned that it is not nmma certified least from what the sales rep says....i was shocked because the inflatable is built solid and all other bombards seem to be...i didnt believe the guy so i went online and found on www.boats.com then searched bombard max 3+and it says it is....so i need a little help guys why wouldnt mine be nmma and where would i be able to get a sticker or proof showing it indeed it nmma certified...tyia

why?

It doesn't matter if a boat is nmma certified or not.

nmma is really just a marketing tool.

i know it doesnt but harriman state park says otherwise....no certificate no registration :-/

nmma is really just a marketing tool.

Agreed. It costs money for manufactures to get this certification so some of the smaller ones opt out. Doesn't mean they make poorly made boats.

I've never heard of any state requiring it for registration.
