I've got a 75 hp 1992 merc. It starts and idles fine. But, when I accelerate, I don't get over 3500 rpms. Folks have told me that it could be the power unit. Any ideas?
Howdy RBE.<br /><br />Welcome to the board.<br /><br />Go down this page and read the threads about no power under load, no top end, etc.<br /><br />They will tell you how to find your dead cylinder and how to find out if it is ignition or fuel.<br /><br />Good luck.
