hay guys, this is my first visit with a thread of my own, but i have gotten some great info just from reading.
i have a 1977 johnson 70 hp on a 15 1/2' skeeter, with a cnc hydrolic jack plate.with a 17" pitch ss wheel.
cranks and idles ok, top end is strong. but, when i throttle up , it's like it boggs down till bout 3000rpm , then it will go.
any suggestions.

Welcome to iboats. Sounds like you need to clean your carbs. Low speed jet might have some crud in it. If you don't know when the last time they were cleaned then it is time to do it.
