I put the boat away last year and it was running fine.I always store it indoors for the winter,and when I went to fire it up,it turns over,but no spark. any ideas?
Hello, Let me be the first to welcome you to iBoats! Does your engine have points? You didn't post a year so I'm only guessing here. If you do, try running a small file through the point contact surfaces. They tend to get lightly oxidized when the engine is stored. If they are old replace 'em. They tend to get worn from normal use and require replacement. Put a fresh set of plugs in while you are there. Good luck and keep posting!
thanks for the info.yes it does have points,the boat is an 89delta cruiser from larson.it's been real good to me and its mint.i never changed the plugs or anything because when i bought it in 2001 it had a new motor(not reman!)and it only had 15 hours on it.Ibabied it the first two seasons and changed the oil twice,but didnt see the need for a tune up yet.will check the points and hope thats it thanks
