I just bought an 1992 Bass Buggy with a 1992 Tracker Johnson 60hp motor and has original control box. In the past with omc controls, there was a fast idle lever,---On Mercery a button to use shift lever- but no such thing with these controls. I have no idea how to fast idle my motor to make it SO much easier to cold start. .It has a working electric primer pump- Any ideas?

Some controls have a button in the pivot point of the throttle arm. Push it and you have throttle-only. On some controls, the throttle arm pulls straight out for throttle only. Maybe you have one of those?

have one of about the same vintage. Grip the lever down at the base, and tug it straight out and rotate forward -- likely will give you the fast idle control. Sometimes can be a little stiff. If that's what you have, it's spring loaded and will pop back to regular neutral detent when you move the lever back to the vertical position.
