no fire at plugs

I replaced a voltage regulator on 1995 60 hp. Mariner serial 0g238393, model 7060412d that had burned up. When I tried to start it up I still had no fire at the spark plug wires. Could it be the switch box or the coils under the fly wheel? I can see no visible problem with either of them. What should the ohm readings be for the switch box leads and the coils under the flywheel? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Re: no fire at plugs

Sounds like you have a faulty stator, the stator produces spark and creates power to the regulator/rectifier.
