I put a new stator and trigger on it.

Found a loose wire on the key switch (orange)
and fixed it - gave me 12 volts across the second top terminal (from left) on switch boxes.

Fired up and ran 5 minutes and it cut off - now
no fire again.

Could it be bad key switch?

Question? Should you have 12 volts accross the
switch box as I indicated above? It seemed to make the difference in making it start before?

Could the switch boxes have gone bad? How can I check these?

Definitely NOT! The switch boxes get power from the stator, if the flywheel isn't turning, then you shouldn't get any voltage on then at all. Get a wiring diagram and recheck ALL your wiring.

Chris.........
