Took the boat out 17' aluminum w/70hp Johnson (both 74 models). Fired the boat right up and backed off the trailer, pulled it to the dock to let it warm up and parked the truck. Got back it was not running. Pulled the choke it fired up then died. Did this three times and then stopped starting all together. Squeezed the prime bulb and it was hard. Tried to fire it up again, no firing. Unhooked the gas line from the engine and pushed the bearing back. No fuel? Bulb on the one way valve was stuck (brand new stuff). Luckily I had an extra in line fuel filter and took the bulb out. installed the filter, closed the vent, and applied pressure to the tank to force some fuel up, it fired right up   , vented the tank and was on my way. Just because it's new don’t mean it's good!

You got that right Tin Can...I bought a new line with bulb with a good brand name on it to carry for a spare, needed to siphon some gas out on the water one time and it didn't work...feels like valve is stuck...tested the next one before I put it in the boat. New doesn't mean good...just a Thought
