2000 Suzuki 140 HP Ran fine last year, had winterized, put in storage. Put on river today. starts fine, under load it's starved for fuel. Have to keep pumping the tank ball to keep running. Added oil to engine oil resevoir, had 1/2 tank of gas with stabil in it, added another 10 gal. before we took it out. did nothing else to it. Help!!:(

Re: no fuel under load

If pumping the primer bulb keeps it running my first suspect would be the fuel pump. However, you will naturally want to rule out any restrictions in the fuel circuit (check your lines, clogged fuel filter, clogged vent tube, etc..)

Re: no fuel under load

Sounds like a fuel pump. I'm a novice at outboard repairs, but fairly mechanical and have all the tools. Fuel pump looks fairly accessable. When you say rebuild, what parts should I get, a see afuel pump assembly for $116.00. Checked to fuel filter, no problem there.
