There are no high speed needle on my Seahorse 3 hp JH19A. Just a bolt where the needle is supposed to be. I thought someone has tampered with the carburettor but now I am told there are no high speed needle on some of these models. Just the bolt as on my carburettor! Now I am confused!
Is this true?

I'm not sure what year they did away with high speed needle, and went to a fixed jet. The jet is screwed in under the bolt you are talking about. I don't have my book with me to tell the year of you motor. I think they went to the fixed jet in the early 60's.

I am told this is a (about)-64 so it figures.
This explain why it is running. Without any jet I guess it would be some running problem.

I also have a Sea Horse 3HP model JH 19-A Serial #B101947 and am trying to find out about the same problem. Do you also know what year mine is? I'm also going to try the Sea Foam.
