no ignition

My 1987 sea ray 250 sundancer,, with 260 mercrusier, alpha 0ne, will not start. I replaced the starter,with solenoid, and the starter slave solenoid, to no avail. When you key the ignition switch to"start" the slave solenoid "clicks" but nothing else happens. When you jump the engine starter, the motor runs, but the solenoid does not engage. All accessories work. Thanks for any help. I'm at a loss.

The starter relay larger top terminals:
See if you have 12V on the Red/purple wire, then turn key and see if you get 12V on the Yellow/Red wire.

If no power on the Red/Purple wire on starter relay, check the 50 amp breaker

If you get 12V with key turned to start on the Yellow/Red, then see if you get 12V on the Starter terminal with the Yellow/Red wire

are you saying the starter spins but the bendix doesnt engage?

how are you jumping the starter?
