no more new johnsons?

My ole rude finaly died ...and im looking for getting a new outboard. the johnson site seems to be saying something about shutting down the brand and remaking them...

my question are they ever gona make johnsons again, and do yall think there are any left over 9.9 or 15hps left at the dealership?

i just dont want to buy a fregin jap brand...

Well, you are in the right forum now.

I believe that the Johnson brand will resurface introducing new technology that will leap ahead just as the ETEC technology did.

Some candidate technology? DI, turbocharged 4 stroke otto/Diesel hybrid.
